Best Internship On Earth!

So what is the “Best Internship on Earth?

It’s a PAID temporary employee position with Sierra Club – in San Francisco, including all-expenses-paid travel, plus $1,000 worth of merchandise provided by The North Face, a hallmark brand for outdoor gear, apparel, and footwear.

The internship lasts ten weeks, beginning in June and ending in August.  Selected interns help promote the Sierra Club’s priority environmental issues and youth outdoors programs by traveling around the country to different Sierra Club outings and activities  — they might go hiking and rafting in spectacular natural settings, and learn about all the different ways the Sierra Club is protecting the planet. The interns film these adventures and produce a regular video blog about youth and the environment.   Sweet, huh?!

Izzy and Daniel with Sierra Club Exec Dir., Mike BruneSo, the 2013 Sierra Club  Outdoor Youth Ambassadors (pictured at right with Sierra Club Executive Director Michael Brune) are Daniel Cespedes, an Oregon State University senior, and Izzy Weisz – a junior at Pitzer College in Claremont, CA.

Follow the adventures of these two young leaders as they travel around the country working to promote the Sierra Club Youth Outdoors Program and Environmental Issues.  It’s fun…plus…if you’re a student and you think this kind of internship is your idea of awesome – it might give you some ideas for your own internship application for 2014!

Follow them on Twitter.  Read their blog.  Check out their great videos.
